The Citizen Infra Builders Club (CIBC) is committed to protecting the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in our activities. We believe that all participants have a right to engage in our community free from harassment, abuse, discrimination, and harm.

Our principles:

• The welfare of the individual is paramount
• All participants, regardless of age, disability, gender, racial heritage, religious belief, sexual orientation, or identity, have a right to equal protection from harm
• We are committed to acting in a way that is respectful, inclusive, and anti-oppressive

2. Scope

CIBC works exclusively with adults in a professional and community context. Our activities include online discussions, virtual meetings, collaborative projects, and occasional in-person meetups and workshops.

This policy applies to all members, volunteers, and participants in CIBC activities, whether online or in person.

4. Definitions

Adult at risk (Care Act 2014): Any person aged 18 or over who has needs for care and support, is experiencing or is at risk of abuse or neglect, and as a result of those needs is unable to protect themselves.

Abuse includes but is not limited to:

• Harassment: Unwanted behaviour that makes someone feel intimidated, degraded, humiliated, or offended — including online harassment
• Bullying: Repeated behaviour intended to hurt, intimidate, or coerce
• Discrimination: Treating someone unfairly because of a protected characteristic
• Sexual harassment: Unwanted sexual behaviour, comments, or advances
• Financial abuse: Misuse of funds or coercion relating to financial matters
