The Citizen Infra Builders Club (CIBC) is a community of practice for civic technology builders — people creating open-source tools for democratic participation, collective intelligence, and community self-governance. We are fiscally hosted by The Social Change Nest CIC.

By contributing to or participating in CIBC, you agree to our Code of Conduct (adapted from Contributor Covenant 3.0). We pledge to make our community welcoming, safe, and equitable for all — regardless of race, ethnicity, age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, language, religion, socio-economic position, or other status.

We encourage: respecting our community's purpose, engaging kindly and honestly, respecting different viewpoints, taking responsibility, giving and accepting constructive feedback, and committing to repairing harm when it occurs.

We restrict: harassment, character attacks, stereotyping or discrimination, sexualization, violating confidentiality, endangerment, misleading identity, and unsolicited promotional content.

To report a concern, contact any Core Team member:

Reports are taken seriously, investigated promptly, and handled confidentially.

Contributions support: open-source tool development, research on portable governance and participatory design, community events and workshops, and connecting builders with the communities they serve. All finances are transparent on this page.
